I will co-ordinate and submit your application electronically through the Planning Portal saving me time and you money. Great care is taken to give each application its best chance of being validated by the Council first time.

Planning Appeals

Planning Applications are often refused by Local Planning Authorities. Sometimes, for genuine reasons. In other cases it may entirely reasonable to appeal its decision.

I can prepare your mandatory full statement of case and lodge your appeal electronically through the Planning Inspectorate’s Portal.

Enforcement Defenses

Having managed planning enforcement and compliance teams and with ten years’ experience as an enforcer, I have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience should you find yourself in deep water with the Local Planning Authority.

I am a member of the National Association for Planning Enforcement [NAPE] and am proud to served on its Management Committee.

Planning appraisals give you an understanding of the issues relevant to your proposal. They can highlight its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and can help you make informed decisions to maximise your chances of success.

Planning Statements

Writing planning statements is a main duty of a planning consultant. Statements can be mandatory in certain situations & necessary in others.

The most common statement that I write to support applications is the Design & Access Statement but there are others.

Training

My articles have been published, I have presented workshops at national and local forums and have provided inter-authority enforcement training. I can help individuals, associations, committees and groups understand the planning process in detail.

Complaints

I can confidently handle both formal complaints to your Council and the Local Government Ombudsman complaints procedures on your behalf. I have significant experience responding to formal and LGO complaints for Local Planning Authorities. If you are aggrieved at the way in which your local planning authority has handled a planning concern you may complain to the LGO, usually after going through the Council’s own complaints procedures first.
